The Association of Professional Electrologists of British Columbia (TAPEBC), a non-profit provincial organization that represents Electrologists in British Columbia. TAPEBC is affiliated with the Federation of Canadian Electrolysis Association (FCEA) and together, both associations are dedicated to promoting professionalism and high standards in the area of permanent hair removal
All registered members since 1989 have had to pass both practical and theoretical examinations before our board of examiners to prove competency. By choosing to use a Registered Electrologist (RE, CPE) you are ensured an established standard for safe, effective care

What To Look For In A Good Electrologist
Displays Official Training Diploma.
Displays Certificate of Professional Credentials.
Offers excellent sanitary conditions.
Uses sterilized, disposable filaments.
Uses sterilized forceps.
Offers a complete consultation before proceeding with any treatment & clearly explains the hair phases and process of electrolysis.
Advises clients on how to enhance the effectiveness & comfort of treatment (ie. hydration, exfoliation, & consistency of regular appointments).
Advises clients about aftercare procedures for preventing possible reactions & promoting quick healing.

CPE - Certified Professional Electrologist
CCE - Certified Canadian Electrologist
The Registered Electrologist Credential is reserved for fully paid members of TAPEBC.
